Showmanship

All exhibitors are required to abide by the rules of the North American Jr. Red Angus Show. Please download the rules and be sure to read them completely. Livestock Show Rules

The cattle shows judge: TBA

Showmanship and individual contests will be divided by age division.
Divisons are determined by the showman's age as of January 1, 2011.
Novice - 13 and under and never participated before
Junior - 13 and under
Intermediate - 14 to 17
Senior - 18 to 21

Breeder’s Cup Futurity Rules

1. Breeder’s Cup Futurity Show to be held in conjunction with the NAJRA Show.

2. Breeders will pay $500 to become members for the Breeder’s Cup Futurity.

3. Breeder’s need to pay by January 1 to become a member.

4. Breeders who become members:
a. All the calves they raise and sell are eligible for the Breeder’s Cup Futurity Show.
b. Will have a banner/display at the NAJRA Show
c. Be included in advertising to promote the Futurity.

5. Pay out for the Breeder’s Cup Futurity Show will be based on the number of breeders who participate minus expenses of advertising, hiring a judge, etc.

6. The judge for the Futurity Show will be decided by committee and voted on by the members.

7. Show Rules:
a. Calves must have the Futurity members prefix on the animal.
b. Calves purchased from only Breeder’s Cup Futurity members are eligible.
c. Calves must be purchased and transferred to the junior member no less than 30 days from the day of the show.
d. Junior members must show their own animal unless they have more than on in the same class; or have an injury/sickness but still be present at the show.
e. Exhibitors must be members of a junior Red Angus Association.
f. Juniors showing in the Breeder’s Cup must compete in two of the satellite events at the NAJRA Show.
